Advantages: Miss J is a star!

Disadvantages: It is after all only modelling!

I am a huge fan of trash TV and there is nothing better than sitting down to watch ANTM on Living TV on a Monday night.

In reality this show should really be called the Tyra Banks show as everywhere you look there are photos of her...she even now is not just the judge...but she is a photgrapher also!

Throughout the seasons, she has used the show as a vehicle for her own promotions, she has gloried in the limelight as a photographer, musician, chat show host and even a model!

Tyra is accompanied in the series by at least one supermodel (we have had Janice Dickinson and Twiggy as the most note worthy), noted fashion photographer Nigel Barker (this is contractual I have been told, he must be referred to as this! and Miss J - Cat walk trainer extraordinare!

Mr. J leads the artistic shots and directs all of the photo shoots...he too is a real gem and has shocking white bleached hair that makes him easily recognisable!

The best thing though in the series has to be the contestants obviously... over the series we meet some beautiful women...weird women and women who are clearly mad. Ones worth a mention are:

* This is my signature walk and will make me famous

* I am legally blind

* Thank you for believing in me

* I was born a man!

If you can find all of these characters across the series you will see the hilarity!

There are also moments that left me really cross, one such example is when Carrie Dee (a future winner of ANTM) was reluctant to get into a swimming pool of cold water for a photo shoot...Mr. J tells her 'as a top model sometimes you have to do things you don;t want to do'.... 20 minutes later Carrie Dee is suffering from hypothermia.... Mr J says 'as a top model sometimes you need to know when to say no'....AAAGGGHHHH it annoyed me so much!

This is a great bit of trash TV and has encouraged great spin offs around the world.

If you have not watched it yet...I suggest you sit down and watch every episode...it will help to remind you that life is good!

Summary: Camp nonsense...watch it!
