American Gothic ... this town not everyone is as they seem and everyone seems to follow their leader, Sheriff Lucas Buck. Lucas's son, Caleb Temple, was brought up by another family and was lead to believe that a man called Gage was his father. The local doctor, Matt Crower, gets curious when suddenly the Sheriff wants everything to do with Caleb. Then Caleb's cousin, Gail Emory, comes to town to protect Caleb in every way she can, but that is extremely difficult when she fall in love with Lucas.
Newest Review: ... Black. Lucas never really hit the big time when he grew up and finished playing his part for American Gothic, but as far as child actors go, he was a real star in his day. Everything about his performances are believable, which is pretty unusual for such a young actor. There is a major gripe with the DVD box set though, and that is that they failed to put the episodes in the right order!! ... more

American Gothic is a television series from the mid-90s that's a horror, a drama and a thriller all at the same time. When it first aired on television, I can remember thinking that I'd not seen anything quite like it before, though I must admit to seeing quite a lot like it ever since! Some people have likened it to Twin Peaks, though personally I can't really see very much of a similarity between the two. Twin Peaks isn't really a gothic horror for starters. I'd say it was a little closer to being like a Stephen King novel.
