AnnaNewest Review: ... intelligent and entertained us all with her singing and playing the guitar. Anna is pretty, quiet at first and seems rather shy, which is probably why she hasn't been seen much since. She has presented a couple of awards at various ceremonies, as well as appearing on a couple of TV programmes, but hopefully she will find her niche and be seen more. *UPDATE* Anna was on TV again on ... more |

Anna was the most successful female contestant in the Big Brother house and only just lost to Craig. Her initial publicity seemed to concentrate on her sexuality and her previous career of being an ex-nun, but only a few weeks into the show, she shone through in her own right and just became Anna. Her wicked sense of humour was her main asset, she was so witty and funny, but without any malice. She is also intelligent and entertained us all with her singing and playing the guitar. I loved Anna on Big Brother. Aside from Craig I would loved to have seen her win the show. She had so much going for her, she had a great sense of humour which the producers picked up on, she kept the house together, providing a bridge between the different groups which formed but most of all she was a facinating character. There can't be many lesbian ex-nuns out there! For a moment you thought you had her figured out then bang, she'd come out with something which took you by complete surprise. Anna gained a lot of fans for the way she stood up to Nick when he was making comments about George Michael. Up until then she, like Tom, had faded a bit into the ... Read the complete review

Anna should have won Big Brother and must feel gutted. She was the victim of a terrible smear campaign by such trash as The Sun and she was the only genuinely nice person in the house. I think it's great she isn't afraid to reveal she is a lesbian on screen and I think her down-to-earth persona coupled with her interesting guitar talents made her very entertaining to watch. It's a shame a lot of companies are still homophobic and won't offer her any deals, due to Anna being the least marketable of the housemates. Forget Craig, Anna is the true winner in my book. ... Anna was definitley the best contestant on Big Brother, and I am so gutted that she didn't win! Not only was she funny and talented but she was also genuinely nice. Anna was never nasty to her fellow contestants, she was always supportive and tried to lift everyone's spirits with her wacky songs. An ex-nun who definitley has the patience of a saint, you would need to have to teach thicko Darren how to play the guitar without losing your rag! I hope that Anna will go on to do bigger and better things as she was the most deserving of the contestants to do so, however I do hope that she hasn't branded herself as the token lesbian forever or that would be a ... Well, she almost won. I was an avid Anna supporter right up until the very end, but the minute Craig made that wonderful gesture towards joanne's treatment, I cried and was extremely glad he had won. Anyway, I digress. Anna was certainly, without a shadow of a doubt the funniest person in the house, her impression of Craig was just so funny I was rolling on the floor, and she was also the most interesting. classed the 'lesbian skateboarding nun' I thought she was absolutely fantastic, and certainly one of the most genuine people in the house. Whatever she decides to do with all the money she's going to make from newspapers etc. good for her, you go anna! ... Read the complete review
