AttachmentsNewest Review: ... from Peckham, she a nice white middle-class girl from - can't remember, somewhere white and middle-class. Jake and Soph - intellectuals, the latter a lesbian (not that I'm suggesting a connection). They take cynical pops at their bosses all the time, while apparently being the only ones who do any work. Both very witty. Reece & Brandon - chalk and cheese mates, the former an irresponsible playboy with a touch of the Jamie Oliver about him (but without the ponciness); the latter a geeky tech-head with more than a touch of the John Lennon about him (without the sex appeal). They fell out over... Zoe - the blonde (in more than just ... more |

First police, then hospitals, then law firms; and now dot.coms. It was only a matter of time. However, Attachments is a pretty good start for the Internet Start-Up Drama genre. The site is "www.seethru.co.uk" - which does actually exist, in the form of what seems to be a collaboration between a real dot.com and some trading off the reputation of the programme. Not that that's very important. More relevant would be a description of the characters: Mike & Luce - the couple in charge of the site. He a black failed musician from Peckham, she a nice white middle-class girl from - can't remember, somewhere white and middle-class. ... Read the complete review

I am sorry, I am not a prude but I really do not think that the TV programme Attachments is suitable viewing for just after 9pm. I know it is after the watershed but only just and considering the language and items of a very explicit sexual nature that seem to make up over 50% of the programme I really think that it should be on later, closer to midnight. Also on the subject of this programme it is meant to be about the start up of an internet company but there is very little about the details of starting up a company and a lot more to do with the sex lives of the people in the programme. I know that it is meant to be a similar programme to This Life ... Read the complete review

The only thing that really sets Attachments apart from all the other drama’s on telly at the moment is the set up, an Internet company (ran by a group of six or so twenty something’s) just starting out, is quite different from anything else currently showing. It makes the show very up to date and quite cool and hip, as I expect the makers planned. Most of the storylines are orientated around relationships, and more commonly, sex. This no doubt earns quite a lot of viewers, though it does get a little boring when they use it as the theme so often. The only other theme that’s ever used is money, or more specifically, the lack of it. For ... Read the complete review

It’s about time there was a show about the making of a internet company and how it runs or perhaps runs anyway. A good time to bring it out as the internet is booming at the moment and this should get plenty of viewers watching. The characters seem a bit over the top in some parts but I suppose it could be like that and perhaps is down in London as to other parts of the country. Drugs are part of lots of people lives but shows like this just glorifies this even more in my book and makes it look as if it’s ok to do them which we all know what can happen to people who take them. But apart from that it is a very good program and one I watch ... Read the complete review

When I heard that this show had been created by the makers of This Life, I was very excited. In my opinion This Life was one of the best series ever on TV and really we deserved a third and final series of that show. However Attachments has more than made up for the disappearance of This Life. Basically it is This Life all over again, only this time it is set in the world of the internet company seethru.co.uk. This site actually works and changes in accordance to the show. The show is brilliant and the characters are superb, I only wish that some of that stuff happened in our boring office. Tune in on Tuesdays or you are missing out! ... Read the complete review
