I feel somewhat guilty as a friend of mine wrote one of the last series. Oh dear. I don't talk to him no more. It was awful. A string of gags even Jimmy Tarbuck wouldn't do, made up to be a conversation. No acting ability in any of the 'babes', nothing. Just an extended cleavage shot. The show itself is badly directed and seems typical of this sort of thing where they get a name and have a feeble vehicle. I was stupid enough to give this programme a chance and watch a few episodes. The programme is about a group of housemates, who coincedently are all very attractive and feature Samantha Janus and Denise van Outen and their landlord. Although I watched the programme I was unable to find a plot or a story, except that they flounce around, pout and whine a lot. the only other thing that sticks in the mind is that Denise's character works in a bar and is a bit of a ladette. Well here is another TV comedy series that was over-hyped on ITV as usual. None-existent laughs, Absolute Crap acting and no storylines what more could you ask for I hear you say. Gorgeous Stars in the form of Denis Van Outen, Samantha Janus didn’t help at all with this series, to be honest I think they wanted to get out quick. To think that ITV were promoting this show as the new 'Friends'. I wonder how long it took everybody to realise it was actually complete rubbish. My guess is around five minutes to dismiss the programme and never watch it again except by mistake. The characters are all so annoying that you hope for some 'Brookside' type disaster to befall them despite this being a comedy (and I use the word 'comedy' very loosely!). Just because a show is a comedy it doesn't warrant putting people who can't act in the main starring rolls. The characters interact like a group of foreign students who all speak different languages.
