Advantages: Children of all ages enjoy it

Disadvantages: Opening tune is literally unforgetable

This has got to be one of the better ideas that cbeebies have come up with. There's no-one dressed in oversized suits. Instead let us join Miss Hoolie (Julie Wilson Nimmo) as she opens Balamory nursery to the local children and us as well. You never know who to expect to visit the nursery with something to show the children and who's help they will need to make it possible. There's Josie Jump (Buki Akib), Edie Mcredie (Juliet Cadzow), Spencer (Rodd Christensen), Pc Plum (Andrew Agnew), Archie (Miles Jupp), Penny Pocket (Kim Tserkezie) and lastly Suzie Sweet (Mary Riggans). Watch as they each go around to their friends singing and dancing to get their help.

There are also fabulous coloured houses where they live, Miss Hoolie has a green house, Josie Jump a yellow, Edie a blue, Spencer an orange, Pc Plum a white, Archie a Pink and Penny and Suzie have a red shop.

This is how I would describe the characters:
Miss Hoolie :- Happy go lucky
Josie Jump :- Always on the move, Always active
Edie Mcredie:- Dependable
Spencer :- Loves to paint
Pc Plum :- a stereotypical policeman, plump & jolly
Archie :- Eccentric inventor
Penny Pocket & Suzie Sweet:- A quality chalk & cheese combination for kids.

I highly recommend this to any child, but be warned the song is worse than the Joe Pasquale one "I Know a song that will get on your nerves". Its that catchy.
