Balamory

Balamory is TV program show on BBC One. BBC Two and Cbeebies and designed for preschool children. It is set in a fictional small island community of Balamory in Scotland. It was produced between 1999 and 2005 tho repeats are still shown now.

So who lives in balamory
Well we have Suzie Sweet and Penny pocket who live in the shop Pocket and Sweet.
Pc plum lives in the white police house
All the other people have the same colour houses as they do clothes.
Miss Hoolie the nursery teacher lives in the green house
Archie an inventor lives in the pink castle
Josie Jump a fitness instructor lives a yellow house
Edie McCredie a bus driver lives in a blue house/garage
Spencer a painter and musician lives in a bright orange house

What the story in Balamory
Each episode with Miss Hoolies walk to Nursery she then opens up the nursery and tell the watcher what the weather is today. All the children the arrive a nursery on Eddies bus. Another one of the main characters will the visit miss Hoolie with a problem they have and to solve their problem they then have to go and visit a least two more of the other of the main characters
At each visit the progress of the story is updated my the character drawing a rainbow of balloons with their hand and when they burst a short clip of the story so far is shown.
After the problem is solved just before the end of the show miss Hoolie then recaps the shoe and then locks up the nursery

So is it worth a watch
I really think Balamory is great for pre school. My children love the way miss hoolie takes to them through the TV, asking them what there name is and how are they.

I would say Balamory is not amazingly educational but my children love it, it's a bit like their own children soap opera.

The one thing I find really funny about this program is the sexual tension between miss Hoolie and Pc Plum, maybe one day they will make a late night Balamory where they get it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
