Advantages: Banzaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii i, iiiiiiiiiiiii, iiiiiiiiiiii
Disadvantages: I *will* lose money, again, and again
What a blast! But why do I have to lose *SO MUCH*? I have watched it nigh on 5 times now, and I got my first wins last friday. Banzai is, in my opinion, the most dazzlingly addictive show ever. That Mr Shakehandsman certainly knows how to keep his grip. If you don't knwo what Banzai is, its a show full of short betting oportunities, like Mr Shakehandsman (sorry to use him again, but I love it) will walk up to a celeb and start shaking their hand. Now you have to bet how long he can continue to shake their hand - upto 60 seconds, 60-80 and over 80 (these change, btw). That's it. Now, simple as it sounds, its absolutely hysterical with people like the actor who plays Harold in Neighbours and various others making appearances. I'm off to uni again in September, and I'll be in a house with 3 other lads. Now I have a deep suspicion that we'll end up betting against each other on Banzai, and going by my past performance, I'll lose the lot. Banzai manages to keep you guessing because all the bets are so off the wall you have no way of knowing what they'll turn out like. Last time Mr Shakehandsman (sorry, again) managed to shake some poor celeb's hand for about 5 minutes before they finally let go. In the heat of the moment, its a fantastically entertaining show, with so little time to bet you have to get over the shock of the fact you're betting on whether an old lady can tell what drink the three Goths have been drinking by the taste of their snog, and guess at the answer. Truly amazing. Banzaiiiiiiiiiiiii.

- 05/07/01 Is it interactive TV betting or do you just bet with the other people you're watching with? |
