BattleBotsNewest Review: ... it up so badly? It's difficult to decide - the commentary is abysmal, the fighting is plain boring. The show is basically the same, yet somehow lacks any of the impact of Robot Wars. I have never felt compelled to watch BattleBots. It has always worried me slightly that Americans manage to mess things up so collosally. This program has done nothing to avert my concerns. TV shows are created these days with one thing in mind - Ratings. If a show doesn't get the ratings it should for a decent show at that time of day it is taken off the air. Robot Wars has proved that the concept of getting big robots to beat the living daylights out of each other can work, so why did the American's mess it up so badly? This is the American version of ‘Robot Wars.’ To be efficient I’ll quickly get out everything that’s good about this show. Well, I’m sad to say I did actually think some of the robots were okay, perhaps I’m a geek. No, I’m not, but anyway I’ve wasted enough lines on the good aspects so remember, “LET’S GET READY TO switch the telly off.” Well first there is the brain-dead presenters.
