Good pilot episode (Battlestar Galactica (1978))

Advantages: Good series opener Disadvantages: Isn't Star Wars by any means
Let's face it, you'e only going to consider watching this if you are a fan, and if you are you won't be disappointed with the movie which was only released theatrically to cash in on Star Wars. It is basically an extended pilot episode which sets the scene (This is obvious by the fact that the plot pretty much changes midway through, like we're watching two episodes back to back) for the whole series and to introduce us to lots of the regular characters played by famous faces as Lorne Greene and Dirk Benedict. It is enjoyable, but is nothing special, and is only really of use now to anyone who is fond of nostalgia. Summary: |
