In general I find most television programmes quite boring; however one programme that I really enjoyed was Beautiful People which aired for a 6 week series between 2 October 2008 and 6 November 2008 on BBC 2 at 9.30pm. Beautiful People was based on the book of the same name by Simon Doonan, an autobiographical account of his growing up in Reading whilst dreaming of living amongst the beautiful people of London. Simon Doonan is now the creative director for Barney's in New York, so his childhood dream of living with the beautiful people has came true.
