*****Cast*****

Mitchell (Vampire).....Aidan Turner
George (Werewolf).....Russell Tovey
Annie (Ghost).....Lenora Clichlow
William Herick (Vampire).....Jason Watkins

*****Plot*****

The show is based around the charcters of Mitchell, George and Annie as they attempt to live amongst humans. They all share a house and the main problem faced by them is keeping Mitchell away from the overly interested Herick.

*****Opinion*****

I had mixed feelings about the show. On one hand BBC3 usually screens quite alot of good new shows. On the other hand this is a genre which usually doesn't work very well in a series ( Dead Set ).

I'm glad to say that in my opinion the show is a complete success, in basically all areas. There is only one minor problem I found with the show.

//Characters//

The main cast listed above all play their parts exceptionally well.

Aidan Turner is excellent as the slightly more seroius and assured member of the three living in the house.

Lenora Clichlow is also excellent as the ghost Annie. Making her part, which is possibley the most challenging, as a very nervous and emotionally on edge ghost very believable.

My favourite character is George played by Russell Tovey. George is quite nervous and still hasn't quite came to terms with what he is. He is also funny at times and very sarcastic. Russell is excellent at displaying all these different emotions in his character.

Jason Watkins also plays his part very well. You're never quite sure about this character and Jason plays this role very well and also delivers some brillaintly timed lines.

//Special Effects//

Really the only special effects or make-up, whatever is used, is used during the transition of George from human to werewolf. This is where I find the minor problem. The transitional scenes are quite impressive, but once George has fully turned it looks more like a mask than anything else.

//Sound//

Sound is used well throughout the series to add some suspense, usually at the end of each episode. Nothing really special, so in this case simplicity is the key.

//Story//

I was very impressed with the way the series progressed. I was always looking forward to the next episode and at no point was the story dragging on. As I mentioned previously I find this genre can 'flop' quite alot, but there was a nice change to the stroylines within this show. There is enough variety between seriousness aswell as a few funny moments in each episode to keep the majority of people entertained.

//Overall//

If you're even remotely interested in this kind of show then I would definetely recommend watching it. Same goes for people who have seen adverts for it and have been unsure.

10/10

Summary: Very well made show.
