This is a great comedy from the seventies. A classic which is on at nine in the morning on channel 4. A witch has married a human against her mothers wishes but still uses witchcraft in daily life. The witch who is called Sammantha is played brilliantly by Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick Sergent as her husband Darran plays his part as equally well. ... Read the complete review

Take one beautiful witch - Samantha, and marry her to a mortal – Darren. Add a few more characters like the devilish Endora (Sams mother) the cute Tabitha (the couples daughter) and you have a hit 60’s/70’s US Comedy show. Darren fell in love with Sam as a mortal, and for that reason he doesn’t want his wife to ... Read the complete review

Bewitched ran from Sept 17th 1964 to July 1st 1972 and told the story of Samantha Stevens and her family. Samantha was a witch and married to a Mortal (husband Darrin). They have two witchy children during the series run; Tabitha and Adam. Samantha has promised darrin that she will try not to use her magic, but of course, this never works. ... I think the nostalgia factor is the only reason that I sometimes watch the repeats, which are on on channel 4 most mornings at 9. This US sit com was made throughout the 60s, and was repeated on British TV when I was quite young (late 70s early 80s). Samantha is a “good witch”, who’s grumpy domineering husband ... Bewitched has got to be one of the best programmes to settle back and watch to lift your mood a bit. It isn't the sort of programme to make you give real belly laughs but it is enjoyable. In case you have managed to miss this programme for the last 40 years I'll give a rough guide. samantha is a witch. A nice gentle, suburban ... Read the complete review

I think this is a really cool programme. I don’t know whether it’s supposed to be for kids or girls or what, I just discovered it on Channel 4 at 9 am one morning. It is quite funny, and, well I don’t know. I love it. I had never heard of it, but it was on after the Big Breakfast. I can’t stop singing the theme tune, ... Read the complete review

I always thought I wouldn’t like this, but since watching it on a number of weekday mornings, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. It’s hardly the work of a genius, but it is surprisingly watchable. The jokes are probably quite bad, and the humour in general a little tired these days, but there’s something compellingly charming ... Read the complete review

This show has been in my life for a good few years now in fact since I was about 11 or 12 maybe younger(I'm now 26) I have always found it funny and I have seen all the reruns on t.v at dinner times on channel four. I think it would be really cool living next door to a witch and her daughter. The husband seems skitish but he adds humour ... Read the complete review

A brilliant programme that kids of all ages love to watch and many parents watched when they were young. I did. It is hard to believe that this programme is still as popular now as it was over 30 years ago and it doesnt seem to age at all. Samantha is a witch married to a mere mortal called Dareen who does not always approve of ... Read the complete review

I for one have been watching and taping the re-runs of this TV series on Channel 4. The acting was ok but could have been a lot better and the stories were unusual to say the least but for some reason unknown it is totally addictive viewing. Maybe it because of the mysterious Darren change of actors or just tuning in to see what he was ... Read the complete review

Bewitched is one of the older comedies on TV. Many of its episodes are in Black and White, and the later ones are in colour. Yet it's one of the few old TV comedies to retain its popularity years after its characters have gone grey and wrinkley. Confused about the title? All will be revealed at the end of the review... Bewitched used to be my all time favourite programme when I was growing up. I'd sit in front of the TV just lapping up the latest episode of lovely 'witch' Samantha outwitting her nice but dull hubby Darren - more often than not with interfering mother Endora causing problems. It changed when the original Darren left and a ... Read the complete review

Elizabeth Montgomery: she was blonde, pretty, big blue eyes and had this way of wrinkling her nose. Dick York: he was stammering, weak, anal and suddenly he turned into Dick Sargent, who was not quite as good, but still effective. The weird thing about 'Bewitched' is how good it was. Most American sitcoms are plodding and tedious, ... Read the complete review

When this sitcom was on at 9am every morning i usued to watch it every day i could! Fantastic. Ok Ok so the acting isn't very good, the storys have something to be desired and the really annoying changing of the darylls p*ss*s me off ALOT. But thats what all shows were like then. Elizabeth Mongomery is a comedy genius. Have you ever been able ... Read the complete review

Elizabeth Montgomery stars in this 1960's comedy about Samantha, a witch who has fallen in love and married a mortal. Anyone would think that Darren, her husband, and advertising executive, would be glad of the help witchcraft and magic could give his life. A simple spell and dinner could be ready, the house cleaned and the clothes ironed, ... Read the complete review
