Advantages: A whole summer of laughs

Disadvantages: No live feed all day this year

Big Brother 10 began a nearly a week ago now, and im already addicted. Summer just wouldnt be the same without BB and 10 years running is a huge milestone for a reality tv show.

This year is quite unlike any other BB so far. Non housemate status to start with and hilarious tasks carried out to gain housemate status got me hooked once again. 16 people entered the house but only 15 gained housemate status. Freddie and Sophie had to legally change their names to Halfwit and Dogface - fantastic task unlike the fake marriage last year. At least they had to do this for real. Cairon won the biscuit dunking competition. Saffia and Charlie walked on broken glass. Karly thought she was having a revved up moterbike pressed against her stomach. Lisa won by answering a phone and took Kris with her. Rodrigo had to shave off poor Norin's eyebrows and she has to draw a fake moustache and glasses on every single day. Good job BB - if people really want to be on this show, let them prove it. After all...the prize money is surely worth making a fool out of yourself for 9 weeks...well if you're into that kind of thing. Not for me though.

Poor Benny got evicted on Sunday. I know its all public voting but BB does edit the shows and i dont think Benny got shown enough compared to people like Siavash and Sophia who i cant stand at the minute. Maybe if BB had given Benny more time she would have stayed. I quite liked her.

I'm really liking the addition of the new housemates this year. I loved how Karly's boyfriend was one of the new additions and then she got evicted about 5 minutes later. The original housemates dont like the fact that their space has been invaded and some of them arent really sure how to deal with it now.

This years BB has caused some arguments online over the live feed/ red button issue. Unlike past years, on E4 viewers could press the red button and watch BB all day long if they wanted, but this year they havent done this. I think BB will loose a lot of viewers and voters because of this. Not everyone can watch to 10pm show. Sort it out BB!

This years housemates are a very mixed bunch and again, people arent happy about this. Mainly i think because not everyone is British. We have an Iranian, Indian, American, Russian and a Brazilian. Now my argument is that they all live in the UK legally so why shouldnt they be able to apply. We've had foreigners on BB in the past and it hasnt caused a problem, we even voted Nadia our winner one year. Maybe its because there are more foreigners than normal this year but i think its going to help the show and make it even funnier.

I think this years BB is going to push boundaries that it hasnt before, i think we're in store for a mean BB this year. Cant wait to see the drama and the clash of personalities. Im not 100% on who i want to win though yet, i dont think we've seen enough of our friends for the summer to decide yet.
