In the 10 years that Big Brother has been around, it has developed dramatically.
The first series was very low-key, with a few photographers scattered around the exit when contestants left. However, in series 10, which is currently being shown, thousand of people get tickets to watch the evictions, there are many spin-off shows and a fast-paced website.

There are different numbers of contestants each year, some leave, some get chucked out and some new people arrive during the weeks of the show. These people are watched for about 10 weeks, with cameras and microphones picking up their every move. Channel 4 airs it, between 9 and 10pm.

There are tasks, twists and evictions that probably mess up the contestants heads! Every week, each person has to nominate two people to go up for eviction, and the public votes for the person they want to leave. On Friday, an eviciton show is held, hosted by the lovely Davina McCall.

Big Brother is quite entertaining, but this all depends on the contestants. After 10 years though, it may have lost its charm, and I think many people are getting bored of the whole concept and the "celebritys" it creates!

Summary: A good idea, possibly wearing out now
