Advantages: can be funny

Disadvantages: fake contestants, repetitve

I have watched Big Brother every series with the exception of the first. I hate it, there are never any housemates that I particuarly am fond of or really want to win (with the exception of Pete Bennett) and I watch it as im hooked against my will.

So the concept of Big Brother is supposidly based upon George Orwells 1984- how big brother is always watching you! The concept of Big Brother is to shove a bunch of housemates into a house full of cameras and see how the create and break relationships and deal with the social situation. Well that was the original idea. Since its start ten years ago Big Bother has become more and more humiliating, Housemates are forced into embrassing and ridiculous situation or tasks as they are known in order to win a food budget.

Housemates personalities are meant to differ, but from experience their usually pretty much the same, generally there are:

The Hot Women - Sophie (Dog Face bb10), Imogen Thomas (bb7), Chanelle, Michelle Bass and so on...

The odd-ball - Marcus, Pete Bennett, John Tickle, Eugene, Mikey, Nadia

The Good Looking Guy - Charlie, Liam, Ziggy
okay im outta contestants whose names i actually remember, there is also
TheToken Parent
The Funny Guy
The Thicko
The one with Radical Views of some sort

It feels a little like your watching the same thing over and over every year, but somehow your hooked and your sucked into a world of crappt t.v. My favourite part is Friday eviction night when you see a contestants best bits!

The Prize for the winner is now £100,000, but they'll make more money with interviews in heat magazine, getting their tits out in Nuts and if theyve had a relationship then they'll get extra interviews. same old same old.

The Relationships crack me up in big brother, theyve got to a point when their pretty ridiculous. This year Noiren played between Marcus Tom and Siavash to then get back with her ex crazyness, she was hated, and well the way she behaved she bought it upon herself. Your on TV have some morals, what would your parents say!?!
My favourite romances were:
* Helen and Paul in BB2 - First BB Romance and lasted a good few years, it was very cute watching them fall in love. They were innocent back then and didnt want to cause a stir infront of cameras it was loveable.
*Pete and Nicky - She got evicted, and we all knew she loved him, he missed her like mad, and they bought her back and they ran into eachothers arms it was lovely. However they broke up shortly after finale.

Big Brother has been axed and its last series will be in the summer of 2010. I say good going as its become repetitive, I mean it does have its funny moments, but it becomes boring, lets get some new good tv!

However say all that i do think it is the best reality TV show. I cant stand X Factor as i know its rehersed and theres more to it than you get to see, there are audition before the so called first stages, and im a celebrity is silly! Big Brother has fake aspects created by contestants, not creators, they attempt to make it slightly more real
