There was a time was watching Channel 4 was a pleasurable experience. Then came Big Brother. The first one was bad - boring and uninspired.

For some unfathomable reason, people were addicted. It was impossible to leave the house, even to go for a quiet drink in the local pub, without hearing someone arguing about who should be evicted. Personally I think that napalming the house would have been the best thing that could possibly have happened.

I have nothing against so called 'Real-TV', but only if it is interesting. Frankly, this second series is even more painful to watch than the first.

It would not be so bad if they showed it once a week, and only showed the interesting bits, but it seems to be on every time I turn on the TV, and I still have not actually managed to maintain enough interest to watch for more than about 10 minutes in one stretch.

Maybe it's all a bit too advanced for me, and I am prepared to believe that the second I change the channel they all start cavorting naked in the hot-tub and trying to kill each other, Itchy & Scratchy style. This is unlikely

Infotainment is a waste of time. If I wanted to watch real life, I can stare into my neighbours' houses. It's far more interesting. I'm going to check the TV schedule next time i turn it on, and make sure I miss Big Brother. He might be watching - I can't be bothered...
