Advantages: Great at 2am, Great at 10pm, Yet another soap!

Disadvantages: Alex never stops whinging does he?

Day 13 in the Big Brother house and I have become addicted again! But why??? What is it that is so interesting about watching 12 people living out boring lives in a boring house? Having watched the opening show, I was very disappointed. I thought maybe Big Brother had lost its touch. How wrong could I be!!! When the housemates entered the house it was like a scene from a school playground the first day after the summer holidays. Everyone was trying to talk at the same time and was, quite frankly, a bit difficult to follow. I felt they were all trying to impress each other, and were definitely not being themselves. I was unable to watch BB again for a couple of days due to work commitments, but when I did watch again I was captivated. Everybody had settled down to normality and they were acting normal. I can't stand it when people are fake! Anyway, here's what I think about the housemates....

Kate is obviously the babe of the household, and quite frankly, I was pleased there would be a bit of eye candy on show if the program got a bit boring at times. At times I think she can be highly entertaining, as displayed when she was doing her kickboxing thing with Spencer. She strikes me more as 'one of the lads' rather than a feminine female. I also found it quite amusing when she asked Sophie why an egg is used when baking a cake, yet not for bread. She obviously does not cook much!

Lee and Adele seem the most likely candidates to 'get it on' despite her revelations about being not only bisexual, but also a virgin. Adele seems to me to be a real genuine person, although I think she is a tidgey bit insecure about her sexuality. Lee has come under some criticism from people who believe he is only after sex. He probably is, but, for some reason, I reckon he really likes Adele, and she definitely likes him. Could they be the next Paul and Helen? Only time will tell...

Time for a rant now! What a pain in the ass Alex is turning
out to be! His constant whinging makes me want to turn the telly over, but you just know that once he gets started he will get someone's back up and start a row. It all makes for interesting viewing. I may be being a bit harsh on Alex, as we all know we have our own little quirks, but would we tell everybody about them like this annoying individual. I mean, come on, who hasn't had a pee while taking a shower! His antics in drag further swayed me into thinking this not-so-fine specimen may be a sausage jockey.

Sunita, Sunita!! Thank God you've left. You remind me of Marmite... You either love it or you hate it. Well, personally, I hate both. Her self-appointed superiority really wound me up. Maybe she would have enjoyed herself more if she had participated with the other housemates, rather than detracting herself from them all and then feeling sorry for herself about it. Anyway, I think I best move on before I get really wound up..

Miss Piggy, or Jade as she is more commonly known really got on my wick at the start. She was a loudmouthed, dippy tart, and at times still is. Having been involved in the shock first nomination though, she was knocked down a peg or two. Her attitude seems to have changed since a bit since then though. I think she just wants people to like her, but she needs to be herself for that to happen. I actually quite like her when she does. She has had some funny moments recently with Spencer, but really annoyed with her constant "excuse moy" directed at Alison when she was mucking about with Spencer in a drunken stupor.

Isn't it weird how, in such a short space of time, you can develop such strong feelings about people you have never even met. I myself am a soap addict and regularly watch as many as possible. Those of you who are soap addicts will understand my ramblings that follow. Ever felt sorry, or even happy, for a member of the cast in a soap when a certain event has occurred? Ever wante
d someone to have their comeuppance or for someone to get one over on someone? Well I have. I want Phil to give Tom a good kicking in Eastenders. I feel sorry for Fred in Corrie, cos he's a cracking bloke with his heart in the right place, even if he qoes about things the wrong way sometimes. In the same token, I want the BB housemates to give Alex a kicking, or tell him all the things that he does which annoy them. That'd shut him up! I want Lee and Adele to tell each other how they really feel and get jiggy. Do you see the similarities between soaps and BB now? The only difference is, BB is real life, whereas soaps aren't. So is BB a soap? You're damned right it is! Maybe that's why I love it!

I see you wrote this on my birthday, thats a great start! I never watched BB3 but I was addicted to BB2 I must admit. Why weren't my eyes glued to # 3? Ah yes, work!

I think they should turn all the cameras off and just leave them in that house for a few months, then come back and find out how they got on.
It can be decieving how people are percieved with the producers only showing selective clips.
Still its one of the best things on tv at the moment.
