This years installment of Big Brother has yet again captured the eyes, heart, and soul of viewers. This years Big Brother was headlined to be popular as it has ever been but with a whole different set of rules, more housmates, harsher consequences, will it? Its been a brilliant show up to now and has been getting everyones ear at the moment. The contestants have been an intresting bunch to watch this year. The good thing about watching people in a house full of people they havent met before and to see what they get up to when they are in a strage enviornmental place knowing that every little thing they do will be taped and watched on national television by millions of people. This years contestants are all different in their own ways and some of the contestants admitt they have come in for the money rather than the experience and admitt they have a well-thought game plan. But in this strange environment you cant keep a mask on and expect it not to fall off and make sure no-one finds out about the real you - so far it seems we have seen all sides of our housemates and keeping a mask on is just too big of an act to keep up, so who are our different, intresting, suprising housemates? Adele, A DJ from southport is a music love and a fitness fantatic. Her faviourite boook is Boogie nights and her faviourite food being Chinesse she is quite an intresting gal to know and hang around with. But the nation probably wouldnt choose her as their overall faviourite some contestants describe Adele as two-faced and some absoulate love her - but the viewers are the ones who decide, but a mixed opinon she can be abit of both good and bad. She dosent have a big chance of winning the show though. Alex, a Model from London is absoulty obessed with cars. Before entering the house was kind of deemed to be a faviorutie to win but now the viewers and the housemates have seen a different more serious side. As far as the contestants are concered he is very
hard to live with and defintly not one of the faviourites to win but viewers seem kind of different find him intresting. Personally i think he can be good sometimes but is always arguing with people in the house who are good. Alision, a travel Repersentive from Birmingham is quite a good faviourite to win when she entered proving to be funny, a laugh and a very caring person. But she was evicted when put up again Sandy and Alex. She was evicted with an equal vote but a very split number of votes beetween Alex and her. But a very friendly housemate who has been evicted when she should have been in the final three. Jade, a Dental nurse from London is the youngest housemate but seems to be unpopular with the public, but to me seems like quite a good person when you would get to know her. She is not a faviourite to win at the moment as the public dont like Jade. But Contestants favour her more as in the first week they like Jade over Lynne, Popular with the housemates yet a downturn with the public. Bound to make it in the middle of the show. Johnny, a fireman from Newcastle is a funny guy but sometimes not the best contestant could be a faviourite to win but is disliked by contestants but is liked more than Lee. A great person sometimes but sometimes a big pain to contestants and often very cheeky. Final Four is the most he would go up to - not the winner. Kate, a IT Helpdesk worker from Kent is a big faviourite when she entered probably seemed the winner. But now a downturn is devolping and contestants are seeing a different side to her. Shes as popular as she was when she entered the house and will be in the Final three. An equal chance of wiinning the show. Seems sometime to take sides with people. A nice, generous, pleasannt person but yet sometimes very bitchy about other contestants - a faviourite. Lee, a fitness instructer from Lecisteter is descirbed an ''incrugiable fluirt'' while in the house he tol
d Adele that he liked and her and had feelings for her. While telling Sophie that she was quite nice but also knowing that he was already in a realationship in the outside world - quite a confusing guy. Evicted with a high percentage of the votes seems very unpopular but sometimes very annoying and sometimes very funny. But never would have thought could have won the show. In the middle of the show Lee would have been evicted, but he said if he hadnt been evicted, he would have walked lateron. Never a faviourite. Lynne, a student from Aberdeen is a very unpoular person both in the house and by the viewers eyes she loves to be the main centre of attention. But while she was arguing with Spenser for seems to me no reason what so ever, just to stand out - astionshed and shocked, amazed me. But she was evicted the first person to be evicted. In the first week the public got to nominate contestants people with the most votes where Jade and Lynne, Contestants wanted Lynne to leave. But when Lynne did leave a quite alot of booing but can be nice - when she wants to be. Could have lasted in the middle, Never would have won it though. PJ, a Law student from Birmingham is a very annoying housemate with an attuide that wouldnt get him very far in life. Seems quite intellegent but very funny sometimes but is a puzzle to find out what and what he thinks. Quite often in the background but not a faviourite to win. if he changes abit he can be in the Final Four but very entertaning, but a bit of a bitchy person very very very very hard to work out him. Middle of the show ideal but could be in a better place in the show and be evicted near the end. Sandy, a department manager for a store in London is a very boring person and hard to find any way of chatting to him, ask him questions and you will get a one word answer. Often described as boring, unfunny, unwitty, and very clever but decided to walk in the third week. Sandy said he was just there for th
e experience. Was abit too honest with his opinons and obviously didnt like Alision though. He couldnt care less about somethings but a laugh at sometimes - wouldnt have won it could have been in the final three if he was lucky. Sophie, a recruitment manager from Marlow is normal and kind but can have her moments with people. Often in the abckground and loves talking too people, but it seems she is very genuine she was the replacement for Sunita but has fitted in the house easily and very very very kind. A final three person defintly. Spenser, a very entertaning yet quiet person i would say he is a faviourite of mine and likes talking to people sometimes when he knows the time is right. He hasnt offended anyone yet but Lynne but will defintly win the show probably if he stays as popular as he is - Final three defintly. Sunita, a trainee Barrister from London walked out in the first week just before the first eviction. Sunita was a faviourite in the house and thought that the house didnt suit her and didnt match any of her intrests. I thought she would get into the middle of the show before hearing that she wanted to leave the house to do other things - she described the experience very entertaning but not her cup of tea. If she has stayed then she would have been in the middle of show maybe near the end, if she had devoloped her sense of humour and standed out more. The Big Brother house has been given a completely new look by the same designer who worked on the original - Colin Piggott. The house has an open plan living area consisting of lounge, dining area and kitchen with wood panelling and an open-air fireplace. Double doors lead from the living space out to a wood decked garden containing a vegetable patch and, of course, chickens. There are two bedrooms within the Big Brother house, each with five beds, but this time one of the bedrooms has an en suite bathroom attached to it. It is up to the participants to decide
how to allocate these. The house also has a toilet and a shower room. There are cameras in all of the rooms. The participants can enter the Diary Room to share their personal observations about life in the house, and their feelings about the other house members. Participants will not hear one another's diaries while they are in the house, but the material may be broadcast. Via the house tannoy system, individual participants can be called into the Diary Room to talk as deemed necessary. Similarly, if a participant wishes to speak to someone, they can enter the Diary Room at any point and talk to a member of the production team. Participants also use the Diary Room to nominate their fellow housemates for eviction. If a participant chooses to leave the Big Brother house, they are asked to enter the Diary Room to explain their reasons for leaving. The Big Brother house is fully equipped with the following state-of-the-art audio and visual recording equipment to document every movement and every word of all participants in the house and garden. Five manned Hitachi broadcast cameras follow participants from behind one-way glass, sound proofing runs within the house. Producers in the control room operate an additional 13 cameras fitted to remotely controlled pan and tilt heads. A further 13 fixed cameras ensure that every area of the house and garden environment is under surveillance. Over 40 microphones provide comprehensive audio coverage. Every participant wears a compulsory radio microphone. A tannoy system allows the voice of Big Brother to issue instructions to the house members. Thirty-five monitors are housed within the control room, watched over by a 24-hour production team of directors and vision mixers. Fifteen kilometres of cable have been used in the technical construction of the Big Brother house. Two thousand radio mic batteries will be used throughout the series. Nin
e thousand hours of tape will be recorded. 150 producers, directors, editors and webmasters work to bring Big Brother to terrestial tv, digital tv and the web. 60 crew members bring each nightly show to your TV. Participants can leave the house in two ways. They either leave of their own free will (and may do so at any time) or they are evicted as part of the weekly eviction process. Once a participant leaves, for whatever reason, there is NO return. If a member of the house wants to depart they must first report to the Diary Room and give their reasons for leaving. If a participant leaves voluntarily, Big Brother may decide to replace them from a reserve short-list. Every Monday, each participant will visit the Diary Room and nominate two fellow housemates for eviction. Any participant refusing to make a nomination may be liable for eviction themselves. The diary room nominations will not be streamed on the website and E4 and the results will only be made public to both the participants and the viewers on Tuesday's show. The two or more housemates receiving the most votes in the participant poll are put to the viewers for the public vote, conducted via the telephone and on digital TV. The results of the weekly public vote are announced on Friday during an early evening show, followed by the eviction itself on the Friday late night show. When a participant is evicted from the Big Brother house, no one takes their place. The eviction process occurs every week until only three members remain in the house. The winner of Big Brother is then decided by national vote and announced in final show. Viewers can vote for the housemate they want to evict either by telephone (calls cost 25p per call) or if they have digital television, then via their remote control (costing 25p per vote). Channel 4 and Endemol will donate 5p from every vote to a group of charities yet to be decided. These are great rules
and i think its really nice of some of the money to be donoted to charity this year. With some contestants already leaving voluntary it seems the pressure is really on the housemates - these rules prove very hard. Participants are allowed to take one suitcase of clothes into the house and one small suitcase of personal belongings (eg. books, cigarettes and photos). The suitcases will be the same size for all participants and no other bags or baggage will be allowed. Big Brother will check the contents of both suitcases before the participants enter the house and inventories will be compiled. Big Brother will also be running x-ray and bug sweeping checks on the contents of the cases. There are further limitations. Participants are only allowed to take up to two magazines and two books and up to six bottles or cans of beer, or two bottles of wine into the house. One of each of the following items is also permitted: toothpaste, moisturising cream, shaving foam, shampoo, conditioner, hair gel/hairspray, and suntan lotion. Any additional items needed during the duration of the stay must be purchased out of the joint weekly grocery budget. Items banned from the house include mobile phones, radios, walkmans, CDs or CD players, computers, PDAs (Psion, Palm Pilot etc), calendars, clocks and watches, drugs and narcotics, personal medication (except in consultation with Big Brother), weapons, any electronic equipment or items requiring batteries and clothes with prominent logos. With some of the top contestants already out and some already leavnig voluntarly this proves that the house is still the same. Housemates are getting on quite good. Personally the Heven and Hell house is proving very nice and proving to be a hit. The contestants are on the wrong sides. This is the best porgramme on television and i am sure i am not alone on about saying this - Four Million UK People also share my view.
