Tidy all the bit's and bob's, the thing's that help us do our jobs...... Big Cook Little Cook is set in the kitchen of a cafe, a big brightly coloured well stocked kitchen at that! Big Cook Ben is a normal sized adult whilst Little Cook Small is a teeny tiny adult who can fly about on a wooden spoon! I have never understood why Big Cook gets a name and little Cook just gets called small??? Big cook little cook is a childrens television programme. All of my children like to watch this and their aged 7, 3 and 5 months so as for the age range of this show I don't know. The show is presented by two men, Ben is the big cook and does the cooking and small is a mini cook who on every show reads a book and flys off on his wooden spoon to find out how one of the ingredients is either made or grown. They make child friendly food and you watch this being done from start to finish. It is a fun, entertaining and is actually quite educational as your child learns some basic cooking skills such as what apparatus to use and they always tidy up at the ... Read the complete review

My daughter has just come to that wonderful age where she is amazed by the telly and now has here own favourites. The last month or so it has been the big cook little cook show on Cbeebies. The basic format of this show is what I think appeals to Alexis. The show features a cook called Big cook called Ben, who is normal adult sized and his little cook called small, who is only a few inches tall . I wouldn't say small is a "cook" as all he really does in each episode is read from his little book and flys off on his wooden spoon to find out how a chosen ingredient is made/grown. The programme is set in a cafe, which you ... Read the complete review

As a stay at home mother of a 2 year old and a new baby I spend most of my time with cbeebies on and I am very familiar with all the programmes, my favourite of these is Big cook, little cook. Big cook little cook is a childrens cookery programme set in a cafe, it has 2 characters Big cook Ben played by Stephen Marsh and Little cook small played by Dan Wright. (both Stephen and Dan are adult stand up comedians).Ben is a normal size man and Small is about 5 inch tall. Every episode has a basic structure, Ben and Small get a customer, normally someone from a nursery book (you never see them yourself) and then Small reads you a story from his book ... Now my son has reached the ripe old age of 20 months during the day the television is pretty much his. Whether it is me or my wife at home with him we will both, by tea time, be child's TV out. His favourite channel is C Beebies. This was also my little girl's favourite channel at that age, so my wife and I have both been accustomed to the programmes they show. The programme which he absolutely loves is Big cook little cook and I remember that my daughter loved this programme too. The programme is on at the moment at 10am and 130pm on the C Beebies channel which is on channel 614 on sky and free view it's 71 but I am not sure of the channel for virgin. ...
