I prefer 30 mins episodes (Bill, The)

Advantages: good scripts, action

Disadvantages: 1 hour format disappointing

I have watched The Bill ever since it started and it seems that the newer hour long format episodes are weak. They are only on once a week on ITV now as well. The other problem with hour long episodes is that they decide to do 2 or 3 part stories. If for some reason you miss any 1 of these episodes it is a bit disappointing.

I much prefered the 30 minute format. The scripts were very good and the action scenes were great as well. I am enjoying watching reapeats of the 30 minute episodes on UK Gold at the moment, shown in 1997. The Bill is shown 2 or 3 times daily on UK Gold, so if you are missing those original 30 minute episodes I would recommend you watch UK Gold.
