The Bionic Woman is an American TV drama however the star of the show is an English actress Michelle Ryan ho is better known a one of the Slater clan from Eastenders, at first I did not recognise her as she has gone very Hollywood, losing weight and obviously hitting the gym to get buff. This version is a remake of a 70's show which I have never seen so cannot compare the two. Ryan character si Jamie Sommers who after sufferring a horrendous car crash her body is used to try ou some state of the art surgery that basically replaces body parts with implants that give her super strength and speed while outwardly appearing normal. In adition her senses ... Read the complete review

It's not often that the americans make something with this much hype and make a mess of it. I mean, seriously, did we jinx it because of a british actress taking the lead role?! In all honesty though, I thought Michelle Ryan was perfectly cut out for it. She was really great and reminded me of Jennifer Garner in Alias. Infact, pretty much all the cast were fine. It was unfortunately the writing that let this series down. Strangely though, the first episode was really good, I was really getting into it. Bionic woman was originally a highly anticipated tv show in America, is looked like it had all of the right ingredients for a great new show. But since then it has received some shocking ratings from critics. I live in the UK so I have only just finished watching the first series, did I agree with all those critics? The answer is probably yes. There are many things that appear to be wrong in Bionic woman. The plot is a bit shaky, there are some questions set at the start of the series that are not answered by the end. e.g. We find out that the bionic woman has had files kept on her for years, before she was ever a bionic woman, but we don't know why, and we ... I'm a bit young (ahem) to remember the original series but I vaguely remember the 6 million dollar man and had one of those dolls with the infra-red eye or something and also Steve Austin pjamas and a t-shirt or something...wasn't the bionic woman supposed to be his cousin or something-thats how these things normally work at any rate... This new incarnation is in no way related to the old-skool series except by name. It stars Michelle Ryan in the title role (she was Kat Slater's daughter in Eastenders and more recently in bbc 1's Jeckyll) and also Katee Sackoff who plays "Starbuck" Kara Thrace in the new imagined Battlestar Galactica- a show which I ...
