The Bionic Woman is an American TV drama however the star of the show is an English actress Michelle Ryan ho is better known a one of the Slater clan from Eastenders, at first I did not recognise her as she has gone very Hollywood, losing weight and obviously hitting the gym to get buff.

This version is a remake of a 70's show which I have never seen so cannot compare the two.

Ryan character si Jamie Sommers who after sufferring a horrendous car crash her body is used to try ou some state of the art surgery that basically replaces body parts with implants that give her super strength and speed while outwardly appearing normal. In adition her senses such as hearing and sight are enhanced considerable, not a woman you argue with.

As a result of the surgery she has to work for a secret organisation to under take dangerous missions while all the time trying to raise her younger sister played by Lucy Hale.

As far as American series go this one is ok but to be honest it failed to grab my attention and after watching a couple of episodes it was relegated to the, "I might watch it if nothing else good is on", the boyfriend likes to watch it but I think that is more to ogle Ryan. The acting is fine but the plots are just too far fetched for me and there are so many better American dramas like CSI and The Wire to watch these days that this one isjust not up to standard.

Summary: So so American action drama.
