BitsNewest Review: ... at presenting this programme, always adding lots of humour to the show. The game reviews were always very good, with lots of details about the game explained (usually in a very humourous way). From these reviews, I bought quite a few games, and was very impressed by them. The competitions on Bits were always great too, with lots of computer games, consoles and computers regularly given away. Bits is no longer broadcast on TV. It shocks me that even in these days where computer games are more popular that ever, there are not any recognised programmes on air concentrating on computer game releases.... more |

Since a very young age, I have been very interested in computer games. There have never been too many programmes on TV that concentrate on computer games though. This is why I used to like watching Bits. Bits used to be on Channel 4, very late on a weekday evening (always after midnight). It was presented by three women (two Emilys and Aleks). These three were excellent at presenting this programme, always adding lots of humour to the show. The game reviews were always very good, with lots of details about the game explained (usually in a very humourous way). From these reviews, I bought quite a few games, and was very impressed by ... I first saw this television program, we i tayed up late one night watching crap late night channel 4, when all of a sudden, bits appeared. Being a computer games fan myself i decided to watch it. I was surprised that three girls was hosting it and made me even more intriged. They are Aleks, Emily and Bouff. Bouff first caught my attention with her sheer beauty, and her ability to present games professionally. The games reviews are serious and accurate, while at the same time, the girls mess about and swear. This provides a brilliant contrast and is delightful. Usually, one of the girls provide the commentry on the game and give advantages and disadvantages on ... Read the complete review

I have recently been reading some opinions on the late night tv show, Bits. Many of the articles I have read have commented on how bad the show is and how sexist the show's creators are because the presenters are all women! I beg to differ on this program. Bits is a gaming show reviewing all the latest PC, Playstation, Playstation 2, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and Game Boy games. They put the show on late at night about 1:00am on a Saturday morning because the game reviewing show does have some rude aspects as it is aimed at a very late teenage to adult age group. 99.9% of shows are clean with no swearing, but you do get the odd swear word on some ... Computer games are growing world-wide. It is as big as the film and music industry but why-o-why do we not get a decent games show. Well here it is the successor to Games Master or Bad Influence. Bits review all aspects of gaming from games to consoles - this is where they have their problem as they are a general games show reviewing everything which means they do not concentrate on one console. A major problem they have is their attitude as they try to do small plays everytime they review a game. How sad is that? Do we even care about how they review the game - we just want to know if it is good or not? Finally the most important and worst ... Read the complete review

If I hadn't spent seven out of every ten hours of my youth playing these 'ere video console games, I might have turned out to be somthing more than a drop-out who gets kicks from Lula: the Sexy Empire. But no, here I am, still as addicted as ever and staying up all hours just to watch an inane video games programme. I can't really describe Bits to you without the natural comparisons with the King of all Computer Programmes, Gamesmaster, slipping in. I spent my formative years rolling around the floor to Dominik Diamond's inspired wit, so it's perhaps understandable why the humour of Bits does not quite live up to those heights, for me at ...
