I know that Blue Peter is one of the longest running kids programmes on tv but it remains as fresh as ever. If you watch it, it is obvious why this programme has lasted as long as it has. I can say that I have learnt more from BP than any other show on TV. It covers an amazing variety of topics, that are extremely interesting and fun to watch. My favourite has always been their travels abroad, learning about other countries and ways of life. They also manage to make history intersting through costumes and acting out parts, making it come to life. Some of my favourite presenters have been Stewart Miles and Katie Hill.

Some parts of BP that I do not like are the sporty bits and the parachute jumps which I find boring, but I suppose they have to appeal to everyone.

The best thing about Blue Peter is that it is informative, and can teach children (and adults!) a lot. Their coverage of everyday events and current issues is good. Their charity fund raisers are also a good way for children to get involved in fund raising.

I think this is one children's programme that should continue for a long time.
