Advantages: Fun; A good presenter; Blue the puppy is well cute
Disadvantages: none
I love Blues Clues and am watching it right now with my little sister. It's a programme for little kids, my sister is 2, about a blue puppy and her owner who is called Kevin.
Every episode shows Kevin and one of the other characters looking for something and Blue will help by putting her paw print onto different objects so that Kevin can work out what he is looking for from the clues. Her paw print is called a Clue.
In the programme Kevin helps other characters like Mr Salt and Mrs Pepper Pot to do things like help their baby to learn to sleep in their own bed. The episode Im watching now has got Kevin helping a little kitten to make a wooden model of a plane but the kitten wants to play with it straight away and Kevin has to stop her and make her wait until the plane has dried.
When Kevin finds a clue he draws it in the notebook and when he has got 3 clues him and the kids in the audience can solve the problem.
I like Kevin because he's funny but isn't too OTT like a lot of kids presenters. He is sensible when he talks and it looks like he enjoys making the programme even though most of it is probably done in front of a blue screen cos most of the scenery is animated.
The subject of the programme today looks like its teaching kids what to do when they have got to wait for something and he is teaching them how to be a bit patient. Kevin sings a lot in the programme and they are good catchy songs that my sister tries to sing along to sometimes but when she asks me to I have to say no because it's too embarressing!
I think most children would like Blue because shes a dead cute puppy and yaps when she is talking. You can get Blues Clues DVDs but I reckon it's not worth buying because the programme is on Nick Jnr 2 every day so you can watch them then.
