If you have not heard about this programme by now, you must have been living in a small hole in the ground for the last 6 months. But for those of you who have been hiding in Iraq, this show completely rocks!!!!!

Created by a comedy genius of magnificent proportions, Bo Selecta is a collection of sketches, fake celebrities and characters from everyday life but in a slightly different light to how we would normally see them. People we associate with such as Mel B, Michael Jackson and Craig David are given huge rubber chins and thick spectacles and very different personalities to what we would normally expect. This gives them some very funny moments.

I give you examples like this.
Michael Jackson is dressed as his "Thriller" era look. Red Leather Jacket, Sweatband and White studded glove. However, this michael jackson is driven by different thoughts. He also swears like a trooper!!! Its funny to see Michael in this light.

The same goes for Craig David. Despite hailing from Southampton, Craig David is portrayed as a Northerner complete with Bird of prey on his arm! His language is given a complete northern twist too by saying things like "its proper Bo i tell thee!"

One of the funniest ones is his portrayal of Divina McCall of Big Brother fame. Rather than using her catchphrase of "Big brother House this is Divina, you are live on Channel 4 please do not swear" he instead puts in a load of expletives!!! Very good. He also dresses up complete with Pregnant lump to give it that extra realism!!!

Seeing these people as someone that they are not really gets your mind thinking!!!

2 of his funniest sketches involve 2 people who are not celebrities. However, one has a link to celebrities. This character is called Avid Merrion who is supposed to be Dutch. He is basically a Celebrity Stalker and has some pretty alarming ideas and saying to people. If it was not so funny, it would make you w
orry as im sure there are strange people like this about. To give it an extra creepy factor to it, the character is always in a dirty neck brace and lives in a flat with Craig from Big Brother, chained up in the toilet. He also has Manaquins everywhere with cardboard faces of celebrities stuck on them!!!

The other funny sketch is called Bear. This a little furry bear with a large human head that sits on a bed having bedtime stories read to it by famous ladies. Unfortunately, this bear has no control over its sexual urges and tends to get carries away with things protruding from it!!! You will know what I mean if you watch it. Very funny.

Who would it appeal to?
Well, most people who dont mind a bit of swearing and can see the funny side of the stalking and Character assasination he performs. If you are slightly prudish or Under 18 you might not get most of the jokes or be offended by the swearing. Im not and think its hilarious.

Due to his popularity, he has produced a christmas Special. It looks like it will be very funny. There is also a Christmas Song out with his favourite "Celebrities" singing on it.
Add to this the special DVD of Series 1 and 2 out in the shops right now, you can guarantee Avid Merrion will be having a very Merry Chrimbo!!!!
