Bob & MargaretNewest Review: ... in their 40's and this is a great and light show to watch about them struggling with everyday events in their lives. Bob is a dentist and Margaret is a chiropodist. They have two dogs who are the same build as their owners, slightly chubby called William and Elizabeth. The show was created was David Fine and Alison Snowden and was apparently based on a married English couple they knew called Bob and Margaret Fish, who had almost the same characteristics but most importantly had the same job, had no children and also had two dogs called William and Elizabeth. The episodes shown are very mundane, every activities but the way the show is m... more |

Bob and Margaret is an animated comedy shown on FX and also on Channel 4 On Demand (4od). It used to be shown also on BBC 2. There have been up to now 4 series and 52 episodes. The main characters, Bob and Margaret are a cute little married couple who go about their lives, but the show always has a few little twists in order to make the episode interesting. This marvellous programme was shown on FX a few years ago and then suddenly stopped being shown. Bob and Margaret is a cartoon comprising two series; the first set in Balham, South West London, and the second in Canada. The series is based on an award-winning short film made by the same people; "Bob's Birthday". Bob and Margaret are a childless, middle-class, middle-aged, very British couple who live with their two greedy dogs in a large Victorian London house. The programme focuses around their day-to-day lives. Bob is a neurotic Dentist, and Margaret is an anxious Chiropodist who feels unbearable guilt for earning as much as ... Read the complete review

Wonderful show, Bob and Margaret! My mum and I absolutely love this show, it is so full of great British humour and you would be forgiven if you thought they were real! You may have heard or seen "Bob's Birthday", the Oscar-winning short film, a few years back, which introduced us to Bob and Margaret (Bob, then had the voice of Harry Enfield), but thankfully, a couple of series were produce a couple of years ago, that let us share more of the life of Bob and Margaret. A childless couple, they live in London's suburbs and have 2 extremely greedy dogs, William and Elizabeth. Bob, a dentist (who works above a sweet shop), and his ... Read the complete review

We watched Bob & Margaret by accident, and out of curiosity just to see why a cartoon was being shown after the watershed, and soon we werent thinking about that, just sitting back and laughing at the antics of the married dentist & chiropractor (spelling...) and their two dogs. It sounds well naff, but is a great spin on surburban life, and being in a long term relationship and all the hassles that go with it such as friends, annoying brother (see the epidsode where Bobs celebrety chef brother needs his two kids looking after - it is side splitting), jobs, and just about anything that crosses everyday life. There will be something that anyone can relate to. SEE IT!! ... Read the complete review

Unlikely title to attract attention I think but I watched this first time around and I remember thinking eh what is this all about. Basically it is about a married couple - he is a dentist and they have mad dogs. I think is a genuinely funny cartoon and it is based on the same thing as South Park but is nothing like it if you know what I mean. Dont know how many they actually wrote but I have seen a few and they tend to be on later at night. They are quite hysterical but do take a bit of getting in to. I think it captures some very natural everydays occurrences and portraits them very well ... Read the complete review
