Advantages: Characters, colourful, entertaining!
Disadvantages: Not long enough!!!
This as got to be the greatest childrens television programme since Button Moon! Bob the Builder(voiced by Neil Morrisey) is aimed at pre-school/nursery children. It follows the everyday life of Bob the Builder, his female work mate Wendy(Very un-sexist!), a bunch of machines all superbly named, such as Lofty(Crane), Rolly(Bull-dozer), Scoop(Lifter),Muck(Digger),Dizzy(Cement mixer) and Pilchard the cat! Bob is the friendliest builder in the world, always willing to lend a helping hand. The kids love him, well my nephews and niece do.(triplets 2 and half years old) This programme even incorporates the 'naughty' characters who are Travis and Spud, who are always up to mischeif and generally causing trouble for Bob and the gang. The characters themselves are very colourful and pleasing to the eye. They all have individual personality traits, such as Dizzy's enthusism and Rolly's plain dippiness! They don't just go building, oh no! In episodes I've watched, I've seen a line- dancing competition and also a race between Scoop and Travis(the naughty tractor). I wouldn't say this programme is very educational but it is highly entertaining, I like it and I'm 19!Sad I know. I'd recommend this programme for everyone with small children who need 25 minutes peace and quiet. Only problem, you'll have the possible christmas number one single in your head all day! "Bob the Builder, Can we fix it?" Well, he fixes it for my family!!! *********UPDATE*************** Mel C and Ronan Keating have both asked for a cameo role in the programme!

- 04/03/01 We should be proud that we make the best kid's TV in the World. I even saw Bob, dubbed in Finnish, on morning TV in a hotel in Helsinki! |
