I got introduced to Boston Legal pretty late, I think the 2nd season had complted on UK TV by the time I had bothered to catch an episode but it prompted me to get hold of the complete first season and work my way through it. It's a show based in a huge Boston law firm, Crane, Pool and Schmidt, we lost Pool early in the first episode but Denny Crane (William Shatner) is there from the start and Shirley Schmidt (Candice Bergen) arrives later on in the show. How to describe Boston Legal for those who have never seen it. The show comes from the same team that brought us Ally Macbeal so you should instantly know what kind of humour to expect from Boston Legal. We once again find ourselves guests in the litigation team of a Boston law firm - this time Crane, Poole and Schmidt. Denny Crane is played by William Shatner who creates a fantastic character of a once-brilliant lawyer who is entering his twilight years. He is convinced that he is suffering from Alzheimer's but is then convinced (mainly by himself) that it is indeed Mad Cow Disease - he affectionately blames any mistake on "the mad cow" and finishes almost ... Boston Legal is one of the funniest programmes on the television at the moment. It can be found on Living TV in the late evening. It's won several Emmys and a Golden Globe, but don't let that put you off Basically the show is about the most disfunctional group of lawyers you could ever have the misfortune to meet. The lawyers all work for Crane, Poole and Schmidt, Denny Crane is played by William Shatner and is slowly losing his mind, which he puts down to having mad cow disease.
