Advantages: Very silly, but very funny!

Disadvantages: Probably not everybody's cup of tea

Bottom was a BBC2 sitcom shown in the 1990s. It starred Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson, both from 1980s sitcom, The Young Ones.

The story is about two men called Richie (Rik Mayall) and Eddie (Ade Edmondson) that live in a flat in Hammersmith, London. They are both unemployed and have no money. They spend most of their time beating each other up, and getting into dodgy deals and scraps with the law. There were 3 series of the sitcom, with 6 episodes in each series.

The programme was very silly at times, but also very funny. My favourite episode has to be "Holy". In this episode, it is Christmas Day, and excited Richie wakes Eddie up really early so that he can open his Christmas presents. They are all brussel sprouts though! Later on, Richie gets the turkey stuck on his head, before cutting his finger off! It's a good job that Eddie is there though to staple it back in to place!

Summary: If you've never seen it before and you like silly comedies, then buy the DVDs...
