Advantages: Puerile, but that's the beauty of it, Brilliantly interacted with great stunts, Enthusiasm never wanes from the 2 in question, plus awesome supporting cast

Disadvantages: Not for your gran

How many comedies can you name that produce one-liners that embed themselves in the memory and trip off the tongue with an unheard of acid sarcasm to reduce men to tears? Bottom is that type of show. Anarchic, mindless, foul-mouthed, ridiculously over-sexed...and those are just the good bits. One on one in at times the most surreal of scenarios, Edmondson and Mayall prove that while they may be a one-trick pony in the four-letter violent tendency genre of comedy, what a trick to keep pulling off with boundless energy time and time again. Consider the following: if you can get laughs from just two people in 30 minutes when situated on a ferris wheel/trick or treat night out/wimbledon common/corner shop/top of a roof/next door neighbours bedroom/sex shop/hotel bridal suite, etc, then you know you are dealing with a unique talent. Can't wait for Bottom Live 4 to roll round into the area...remember, 'A cuckoo in May, oo-ar-oo-ar-ay...'
