Advantages: You get to see nice weddings, amusing
Disadvantages: Rude people, too much shouting
Bridezillas is a TV show that is broadcast on Wedding TV, which can be found on Sky channel 277. The program is shown around 4 times throughout the day so you should be able to catch one of the showings.
Each episode of Bridezillas features two brides-to-be and films them as they and their fiancés prepare for their weddings. The show lasts for one hour and around half the program is spent on each bride, but the two stories are intercut with each other, so just when the audience may be getting bored with one bride, the show cuts back to the other to keep the viewer's interest.
The program follows the brides through all sorts of things such as taking engagement pictures, shopping for dresses or jewellery, ordering invitations, having their rehearsal dinner, etc.
The brides-to-be are obviously chosen due to their volatile personalities and determination to have their weddings be completely perfect, hence the term 'Bridezilla'. This means that they spend a lot of time arguing with everyone, including their families and husbands-to-be, and they can be very demanding.
I find the program quite funny as the brides can be amusingly unreasonable and some of their requests are very comical. I also like the way that the fiancés tend to just put up with it and recognise how important it is for their bride to have a perfect day, which I think is very sweet. Plus, as I am a woman, I love seeing the weddings at the end!
There are some things I don't like about the show though. Firstly there tends to be a lot of shouting and it ends up getting on my nerves and sometimes giving me a headache. Secondly the program uses a lot of repeated footage after the adverts to remind the viewer what has happened before, and this wastes a lot of time and gets tedious. Thirdly, some of the people who take part can be ridiculously self-centred and rude. I don't mind watching people insist on perfect weddings but I don't like it when they are really mean about it.
This is a program that I like to watch occasionally for a laugh and to see the pretty weddings, but I couldn't watch it every day as after a while it does become annoying!
Summary: It's worth an occasional watch
