Advantages: Ant and Dec - well, for some eople

Disadvantages: Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan on the same show

An offshoot from the X factor, this show presente by Ant and Dec expands the palette marginally by allowing people other than singers to take part. This means as well as singers you get al kinds of acts ranging from dog acts, magicians, dancers, and other more bizarre acts.

The format is similar to the majority of other TV talent shows in that a number of contestants are whittled down to a final few that take part in a live final. The selection process invovles audience votes and judges decisions. The judges include Simon Cowell, and Piers Morgan - disgraced former editor of the daily star newspaper.

In fact, to begin with, each judge has a buzzer and they press it whenever they are fed up with the act that is performing. Previous winners include a singer who used to work for the carphone warehouse and last years winner who did break dancing whilst water poured on top of him.

To conclude, marginally better than the x factor although a few years its junior, this is traditional tv variety television updated for the 21st century.

Summary: If you like x factor, you'll probably love this...
