A mixed bag of talent (Britain's Got Talent)
Member Name: jesperado
Advantages: Some incredible acts Disadvantages: Some annoying ones too! I really enjoy Simon Cowell's compendium of talent shows and Britain's Got Talent is no exception. I did not catch the first series when it was on but enjoyed the most recent competition. I think it's good that there is a talent show that is about more than singing and I like that old fashioned variety acts can still have a place in the entertainment industry although I do wonder how long they survive for after this competition. It was great to see a dance at winning particularly as it was a teenage boy which hopefully might encourage more youngsters to take up street dance rather than spending their time in less productive ways. Some of the acts were very original. I loved the dance act Signature (I think that was their name) as when the guy first came on dressed as Michael Jackson talking about being a law student I prepared myself for something awful but then he did an amzing routine which then turned into an incredible Bhangra routine. All of the audience were on their feet and it was actually strangely moving to see two guys bring so much enjoyment to a crowd of people. I would recommend that anyone that likes this should watch America's Got Talent as there is any even wider variety of acts. Summary: Some good, some awful, all entertaining! |
