Advantages: Fun, easy TV
Disadvantages: Not as funny as it used to be
It back!!! ...and bigger than ever as they keep telling us but I'm not sure that I agree.
This programme has grown each year and now has a spin off ITV 2 show. The first year that it was shown it only spanned a couple of weeks all the auditions were completed in one week. Now we have six weeks of shows in excess of an hour and more on ITV2.
The idea of the programme is to dip into the wealth of talent that Britain has to offer and then present it to the Queen at the royal variety show. I think it is just increasingly becoming a show where evryone wants thier 15 minutes of fame and to get ricjh quickly. I confess that I really like to see the really bad auditions - especially if they think that tey are really good but these acts seem to be getting less and less airtime on the show instead we just seem to get endless dance groups with lots of Mum's trying to live fame through their children - sorry all those mums out there!!!
The trouble is it is still addictive TV and I still find myself turning the Tv on ready to see the next Paul Potts or George Sampson, but no more performing dogs please!!!!!
Summary: Another reality TV show
