I was a sceptic during the first series of this show. I thought it was another rip off of an American show, which would no doubt not be as entertaining as it's USA counterpart! So I only sporadically watched it, finding- as with the X Factor- that some contestants were put through purely as a sob story. I found quite a lot of the contestants did very similar acts, and found this boring very quickly!
This all changed during the second series. I was stuck at home during a saturday evening, and had to find something for a 5 year old and I to watch. After looking at a very limited selection, Britains Got Talent it was!
So we settled down with our pizza...and was pleasantly surprised!
There are a lot of unusual talents being shown on the show- rather than the hoard of singers on the first series- and I found the judges to be funny with the contestants, getting involved where possible.
The highlight for the show for me is, without a doubt, Ant and Dec. I'm a huge fan anyway, but find them absolutely hilarious in this show. They stand in the wings, encouraging the contestants- and regularly taking the mickey! They get involved in various acts, and regularly have a go themselves where possible!
I am now a regular viewer of the show, and hate having to go out on saturday night and miss it!
