Advantages: Amazing acts

Disadvantages: Crazy acts

I have just watched the final of Britain's Got Talent and I'm over the moon for Diversity. Without a doubt they deserved to win and although Susan Boyle was good, she wasn't that good which showed as the competition progressed. I just hope she is alright after being admitted to 'The Priory' yesterday.

Britain's got talent is another one of those competition shows where thousands of people audition and week by week the audience watch some truly outstanding performances and some absolutely ridiculous pantomimes. The competitors are whittled down to a few acts which battle it out in the live finals for the whole of Britain to see. The winner gets £10,000 and the opportunity to perform for the Queen at the 'The Royal Variety show'.

The judges consist of three well known people, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Pierres Morgan. They get to sit through each act and tell them whether they are good enough to make the cut and if they don't like them then they press a button which activates a huge red cross which is directly above the performers head.

The back stage area is over seen by the famous double Ant and Dec which, I think make the show. They are very real and are so entertaining without trying to put on a big act. They are very gifted in what they do and I think the show wouldn't be half as good if they weren't there egging on the good acts and laughing at the bad ones.

The acts can be of anything and unlike shows like The X Factor where it's purely about the singing, this is about bringing imagination and creativity to the stage. We have seen dance acts, florists, old ladies knitting, naked men dancing, women seducing and much more.

I am a singer but as much as I love listening to others singing, it can get a bit warring especially if they are convinced they have the voice of an angel when it's clear that they have inherited their tunefulness from the local dogs and cats home. That's why I love Britain's got Talent. There are some many different acts that you aren't sure what you will be seeing next and like Susan Boyle, some surprise the living hell out of me whilst others are predictable and boring.

The judges are great and I am a huge fan of Simon Cowell despite the fact that other may think he is really nasty. I love his honesty and the fact that he doen't beat about the bush. He says what he thinks and I suppose I like him because I'd like to be the one saying exactly what I think sometimes but instead I hold back.

Over all this is a highly entertaining show with some weird wonderful acts which you may have never seen before. I would definitely recommend that you watch it although you will have to wait for the next series now. If you do want to see what I'm droning on about then there are plenty of clips on youtube that will entertain you for hours.

Summary: A good entertaining watch

I'm happy for Diversity too, I don't follow the show regularly but am glad in a way that Susan Boyle didn't win - although she has a wonderful voice and seems a lovely person I doubt she could cope well with all the trials that come with fame.

I love this show and can recommend getting tickets to be in the audience of the next round of auditions, if you can. We went to see series one auditions in Manchester and it was fantastic! x

Cowell isnt rude, as is shown by people on these shows some of them really NEED to be told how awful they actually are. At least he doesnt give them false hope like a lot of their friends must do
