Advantages: Emily Shadwick, real stories

Disadvantages: Lindsay gets progressively horselike

Not the most popular of soaps but I watch it to be entertained not enlightened. It may not be true to life (but what is?) but you care about the characters - whether you love them or hate them - and it does tackle some controversial issues in a sensitive manner. Famous for lesbian kisses and the body under the patio, many of the more mundane storylines are equally compelling - Jimmy's gradual disintergration was heartrending and Emily's transformation from schoolgirl to master criminal following her father's death was extremely well done.

Summary:
