Premium Review Making some money! (254 words)

This has got to be one of the best programmes on daytime tv. Its not on at the moment, cash in the attic is taking the floor. Lorne Spicer is the presenter, going to peoples houses and finding things that they could sell at a car boots sale. Mostly they find a lot of tat, and the antiques expert Mark puts an estimate on the items. Mark is mr car boot expert and he usually get most of the estimates right. The best bit is when they actually get to the car boot and start trying to sell all their stuff. A lot of it is priced very high for a car boot sale and they have trouble selling it. At this point Mark steps in to give them some sales tips, and ...  Read the complete review

Daytime television is filled with odd but often interesting television programmes. If we aren`t watching someone tear a house apart brick by brick and rebuild it with their bare hands then we are staring straight at the end of an auctioneers gavel at either a property or an antiques auction. Still anything has to be better than finding out the results of countless DNA and lie detector tests and looking at the `I have never done anything wrong in my entire life` face that could only belong to Jeremy Kyle. I have to confess that when Car Booty was being shown on daytime television I used to enjoy it, even if it was just to watch the antiques expert ...  Read the complete review

Car Booty is quite a strange show really. Shown during the daytime and presented by Lorne Spicer, 'Car Booty' follows a family as they try to raise funds for a special event by selling various items from their household at a car boot sale. The family gather all of their posessions which they are willing to sell and valuer Mark Franks enlightens them on how much the items will fetch from the punters; it's a very simple show. To be honest it's not really that interesting and there are other shows of a similar nature that are much better. The fact that they sell the items at a bootsale does baffle me because I'm sure some itmes would fetch much more money at an ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Car Booty: Cash For Your Trash (925 words)

Having spent the majority of the last year unable to work due to back problems, I have somehow managed to watch a considerable amount of daytime TV. To be honest a lot of it falls into the category of mindless rubbish, but occasionally you find a treasure amongst the trash, as is the case with Car Booty. Not that Car Booty is the most polished of shows, but it is one that is not only entertaining but also useful and very interesting, especially as I have always had an interest in what is worth collecting. >>>> What’s it all about then? The concept of the programme is a very simple one and revolves around a family wanting to raise ...  Read the complete review
