Advantages: Its entertaining
Disadvantages: Its quite long
This has got to be one of the best programmes on daytime tv. Its not on at the moment, cash in the attic is taking the floor.
Lorne Spicer is the presenter, going to peoples houses and finding things that they could sell at a car boots sale. Mostly they find a lot of tat, and the antiques expert Mark puts an estimate on the items. Mark is mr car boot expert and he usually get most of the estimates right.
The best bit is when they actually get to the car boot and start trying to sell all their stuff. A lot of it is priced very high for a car boot sale and they have trouble selling it. At this point Mark steps in to give them some sales tips, and usually they manage to get rid of a lot of things. If they have items that are too valuble for a car boot sale then one person from the group takes it to a dealer to get a better price for it. This breaks up the programme a bit more, and is interesting to see how much the items are worth and if they take the offer or not.
At the end they total all the money up, and then are filmed spending it on the thing that they wanted to buy or do at the beginning of the programme.
I really enjoy this programme, and hope its back on tv again soon.
Summary: Daytime tv at its best
