Advantages: Great story line, well presented.

Disadvantages: None.

Casanova! How absolutely One-Hundred present Genuis! One thing to say is that Russel T. Davis has done it again! This now film was hit-series is truly incredible. And i certainly feel that this is what made David Tennant the fine actor he is today; after all it was this first screening in 2005 which made him the doctor he is today. Well, in my opinion anyway. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, are they not?!

This film reflects the life and times of the great Scholare and Sex maniac (good on him!), Giacomo Casanova who may be one of the most amazing people to ever have walked our plannet. Yes, he's up there with Shakey Boy and Charls Dickens. The film expresses to the audience how Casanova went through his life not even saying a word until his early tweens, developing the art of pleasure; finally speaking. Entriging himself with the works of professors and educating himself in order to put himself into the 'Real World'. He then 'gets around' a rather lot in order to make himself more familarised and popular across the globe. In the meantime coping with his day to day struggles of the forbidden love he has for Henrietta.

This story follows him from childhood until the last moments when he sadly dies knowing that Henrietta is on her way to see the Love of her life (and his) - for one last time.

The acting shown in this film is of great quality from all actors; Including the works of David Tennant who i felt was perfect for the role as Casanova as he is able to change from the total witty and comedy role that he performs out so well and also switch to the total serious role and sometimes angered role that is expressed.
Laura Fraser (Henrietta), gives a fanastic performance as the love interest of casanova; expressing again a witty performance. Expressing the true values that are important in life. Such as love, friendship and Loyalty.

Russell T. Davis' quality of writing is amazing in this film and the actors' work emphasises the pure humour that is expressed as well as the pure emotional problems that are reflected in the comedy drama.

I feel that if you are a lover of shakespare then you will enjoy this film. However, it is not a shakespeare piece. Although it does emphasise the same sort of values of love, wealth, commitment and reputation. Also, If you're a lover of sex scenes then this is one for you- Although be warned, there's not a lot of nudity (it is a 12 after all!). If you're a hopeless Romantic, then this one is for you!

Happy Viewing!

Summary: Great writing, great acting, great everything.
