Advantages: Great viewing

Disadvantages: Can be quite gruesome!

This program seems to have been running for ever! But I am definitely not complaining, it is one if my favourite shows EVER! Saturday night would not be the same without it.

Basically Casualty is a hospital drama set in an accident and emergency department in a large hospital. Each week the show lasts for around 45 minutes and within that time you see the general working of the hospital accident and emergency department. Each episode normally has about 3/4 major incidents or accidents that the department has to deal with and as the show progresses you find that the people involved in the accidents and incidents are connected in some way.

Throughout teh shows episodes you get to see the lives of the doctors, nurses, management and paramedics both inside the hospital and at home in their private lives. Like any show there is quite often betrayal and lies that cause bigger problems within the hospital. Quite a few of the staff have relationships with each other which cause even more problems. And recently politics seem to be playing an even bigger part in the show.

My Summary
A great way to fill an hour on a Saturday night and get wrapped up in the drama of a working hospital. Not sure how similar it is to a real nhs accident and emergency department but its good viewing!
