Advantages: Great drama, always different
Disadvantages: Only on once a week
I am a very new fan of casualty. I peronally blame this on my new Bt vision box but hubby says i'm just a soap addict and I guess I would have to agree.
I do insisit that this 'soap' is a little different though and in fact I wouldnt call it a soap at all more a drama. Set in Holby city A&e department in the city of Holby which is actually a fictional place set up by the BBC to host such dramas as casualty and...Holby city. The casualty set is actually based in Bristol.
As you can probably imagine set in an A& E department this show is certainly full of 'drama' and whilst the story lines do not carry on with the patients and they have new ones week in and week out the stories with the staff follow on week by week which is what makes it such a great show. There are many medical emergencys ranging from broken bones to stabbings.... and thats just the staff!
There are quite a few different characters all of whom play a big role in making the show as great as it is. For example Big Mac, the hopsital porter who week in week out never fails to make me laugh and good old Charlie fairhead who has been in Casualty since it started over 20 years ago!
There is one disadvantage to this programme and that is that it is aired only once a week, on BBC1 every Saturday at around 9 and I wait all week for it to come on now im into it.
Casualty is certainly one of those shows that gets your heart racing and always expect the unexpected. Sometimes I have to rewind it on my Bt vision just to watch it over as I cant always believe what has happened.
It certainly will have you hooked!
Summary: A gret show I wish I could see more of
