What an excellent drama on Saturday nights. It has it all and I think it’s excellent. It’s got the realism the plausibility of a cash stricken NHS and all the entertainment and excitement of a drama. Just brilliant. The new series has just started now, it was wonderful the way they portrayed the gay HIV nurse in positive light. It surrounded one of their nurse who had HIV and the public managed to find out. It showed the mayhem caused by the public outrage. It addressed the issue brilliantly. The two part episodes are going down like a treat and are brightening up Sunday night TV. My favourite character is a doctor called Patrick, he comes across as this selfish and obnoxious person who has no feelings but gradually he begins to show his human side. It portrays life as a doctor or a nurse and mixes it in with a bit of the staff’s personal lives to create great viewing. It addresses some really sensitive subjects like last week, it gave a different perspective on asylum seekers which I thought was very good. I think Casualty is excellent is conveys emotion and always leaves a lump in your throat. If I miss it then I record it. I watch a lot of TV, and I can honestly say Casualty is amongst one of my top drama’s.

- 30/10/00 I think Charlie is the worst actor ever closely followed by Duffy but I watch and enjoy Casualty most weeks. |
