Advantages: It's exciting and full of drama
Disadvantages: It's not long enough!
Some people weren't happy with my opinion, so I'm adding more.
It used to be that the only time I'd watch Casualty was when I had nothing else better to do to fill 45 minutes on a boring Saturday night at 8:05, but now I'm absolutely hooked and wouldn't miss it for the world! (What a traitor I am; I missed it accidentally last Saturday :( .)
The programme is set at Holby General hospital and charts the highs and lows of the nurses and doctors who work there.
It's dramatic and full of tension. You know something's going to happen to the extras, but the beauty of it is you never quite know what. In the space of an episode you become close to the characters and it's such a shame when they die, unless they're annoying and old. Well that's not quite true, they had a nice story line about an old couple who were engaged years and years ago and got back together again!
The regular actors can act (always good), but what more can I say? The story-lines are good, ranging from spider bites to psychological problems and fires, and the drama is great. Oh yeah, and the theme tune is fabbo!
