Advantages: Entertaining and deals with a range of issues

Disadvantages: none

OK, so I may be a sad person for admititng this, but it has to be said that most Saturday nights you can find me in front of the TV between 8-9pm. The reason? I think that Casualty is great.

Based in a busy A&E department in fictional Holby City, the program focuses on the relationships between staff and patients, as well as various moral dilemas, such as heroin addiction and AIDS. It is nearly always well acted and the screen writers still seem to be able to think up new storylines.

It has improved greatly over the last year or so. Several new characters have been introduced, and it seems to be a winning formula. Even after all these years, Casualty still makes for great entertainment on a Saturday evening.
