Advantages: Timing, cast, drama

Disadvantages: few and far between

I was left shell-shocked after the final episode of Casualty on BBC 1 this spring.

Although the series usually ends with the culmination of one of the year's major storylines and we are left gasping for more, for example the Chloe/Sean/Lisa triangle and then the following Sean's departure and her search for him.

However this year was dramatic without needing to leave the confines of the A&E department. It saw the death of main characters, though the departure of Andrew is far from unfortunate, continuiance of Patrick's and Dan's unrequited love for Holly, while still maintaining humour and room for minor storylines.

I thought that all of the perfomances were great and cannot wait for the new series1

Perhaps some information on the series as a whole rather than just one episode?
