Advantages: lots of blood and guts

Disadvantages: not on often enough!

How long has this program been running now? As far back as I can remember anyway! I used to love sitting with my Mum and watching this program when I was a kid, hiding behind the cushion when there were gory bits. Now I sit watching it with my boyfriend loving the gory bits while he hides behind the cushion!

Obviously Casualty is set in a hospital, in the Casualty department surprisingly. There have been loads of characters come and go but there are some of the original cast still in it, Charlie and Duffy.

It always surprises me how many stories the makers of Casualty can come up with. Every week something different is happening. The blood and guts bit is great as well, looks real to me!

As well as the stories of the patients (which are different every week) they have the ongoing stories of the staff. This makes each program different but still lets you get to know characters. At the moment the cast is brilliant but I expect some of them will be leaving soon and we will get new ones!

Saturday night is television night (I am too old to go out now!!). Now that Pop Idol has finished L, Casualty is my favourite Saturday night program. I think they should have it on all year round!

I wouldn’t be able to tell you how realistic the program is because I have never actually been in a Casualty department (lucky in life so far). It’s always busy though and you get loads of arrogant people so I guess that’s close to reality!

Definitely a good program to set your video for anyway but don’t forget your cushion if you don’t like the gory bits!
