Newest Review: ... Past interviewees include Kylie, Sir Paul McCartney, Cher, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, P Diddy, U2 and Slash. Usually in an interview questions are fired at random intervals but this style is different. Cat sits down with the popstar and just has a nice friendly chat on a sofa with the audience around it and gets alot out of them for a short interview because they immediately feel at ease with her and her ability to charm comes in handy. Recently viewers have been able to ring in and ask the questions to their fave popstars via the phone, ooooo, very interactive but this hinders the little chat which I personally prefer. Next are the ... more

Premium Review CD UK: Gives hangover tele a good name (528 words)

CD:UK graces our screens each saturday morning at 11.30am on ITV. The best bit about the show is usually everything. Teeny pop music for the kids and rock for the students, upcoming songs and chats with the stars. The show is presented by the more than able Cat Deeley who has presented it for nearly 4years now and will be missed when she leaves the show in August. Bright, bubbly and gorgeous, Cat is possibly the only female TV presenter who could make those stereotypical airhead blonde bimbo presenter opinions kiss her bum. She actually knows what she is doing and doesn't just stand there and read an autocue. First off, there are the interviews with ...  Read the complete review

The follow up music programme viewed by the UK after smTV. I always watch this show because I roughly want to see who is number 1 that week and also to find out the latest music news and information. PRESENTERS __________ The show used to be presented by Cat Deeley and Ant & Dec but they left so it's now Cat Deeley andH & Claire ex steps singers. There are rumours that Cat could leave soon but she will hopefully stay for a while because she is a good presenter. The good thing about the presenting is that they are always so lively and cheery in the morning and look as if they love their job. The other good thing is they are so friendly with the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review How Not To Read An Autocue... (501 words)

I was always a fan of 'The Chart Show', with its 'high-tech' graphics and shamelessly obscure record selections. When the news came that it was to be axed and replaced with 'CD:UK', I was disappointed to say the least. CD:UK has been on our screens for some years now. Still presented by the joined-at-the-hip Geordies Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly (ably assisted by Cat Deeley), various acts mime on stage, before the Top 10 is counted down at the end of the show. As far as the music selection goes, it's pretty dismal unless you are female and aged between 8 to 14. Boyband after boyband, juxtaposed only with the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review CD UK: CD-UK Rocks (as they say!) (256 words)

Who would have thought when it first started, that CD-UK would have become so popular? With all the many 'pop' programmes that have come and gone, including old stalwarts that have stayed such as Top of the Pops, it didn't seem like there was any need for yet another. CD-UK was put against FBI on BBC1, another early morning show for young people, but from the beginning FBI was doomed and didn't stand a chance against the talent and professionalism of the presenters on CD-UK. The producers must have known they were on to a winning formula when they decided on Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly (aka PJ and Duncan acting in Grange Hill when they ...  Read the complete review
